Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, or simply Makhanlal University, is a public university located in Bhopal. Named after the Makhan Lal Chaturvedi, the famous freedom fighter, poet and journalist. Macau is Asia’s first university dedicated to the field of journalism and communications (including information technology and computer science).

Unlike most universities, this university does not have a limited territorial jurisdiction. It is not an open university.
